Car rental and reservations Design concept
Al Maha Car Rental
A Kuwaiti rental experience connecting vehicle choice, dates, optional cover and pickup preparation across web and mobile.
We designed Al Maha Car Rental for a rental service receiving customers at its Kuwait City branch. Vehicle class, dates and price remain consistent from the first photograph to the pickup checklist.

Project brief
A fictional rental service needs clear vehicle classes, costs and an Arabic reservation-to-pickup journey.
Design scope
- Arabic rental search website
- Reservation and cost review page
- Pickup-preparation app
01 / The project challenge
The project challenge
Rental decisions depend on seats, luggage, transmission, collection branch and the period used to calculate charges. Some booking journeys describe a different class from the photograph or reveal charges late. Al Maha Car Rental’s brief focused on making these choices explicit and explaining optional cover and pickup review. Staff also needed driver, branch and timing information before handover rather than restarting the conversation at the counter.
02 / The solution we designed
The solution we designed
We selected one sedan with consistent specifications and made branch, collection and return dates the basis of search. Booking separates daily rental from optional cover and calculates totals from the exact day count. The study uses no tax or hidden charges. Review shows driver and appointment details; mobile focuses on checking the reservation, bringing a licence and reviewing the handover report. Availability remains a branch-confirmed request rather than an automatic promise.
03 / The experience
The experience
A customer chooses an automatic sedan for five people and two bags, Sunday 18 October at 10 am to Friday 23 October at the same time. Five days at KWD 18 cost KWD 90; optional cover at KWD 4 per day adds KWD 20, for KWD 110 total. After entering details, the customer reviews dates and branch and submits the request. Mobile carries the same reference and amount with a pickup checklist. Vehicle inspection remains a handover step rather than a task marked complete before it happens.

07 / Design direction
Design direction
Deep navy, clear red actions and realistic sedan photography give Al Maha Car Rental a distinct identity. The homepage supports choosing; detail supports costs and information; mobile supports appointments and preparation. Large numbers and adjacent dates aid review, with luggage and seating specifications beside the class. Red belongs to primary actions rather than constant alerts. Matching references and specifications keep the journey coherent across screens.
